copyright Showtime Inc.
24FPS specialises in the physical production of feature films and high-end television drama, working across the UK as well as in Europe and beyond. We combine extensive experience with passion, creativity and good humour to deliver ambitious productions on time and on budget. We can operate either as a service company or as a UK co-producer to access the UK's highly competitive Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC).
Founded in 2021 by Alexander O'Neal and Charlie Somers, we collectively bring decades of experience across major studio productions, streamers, and independent films. Both Alexander and Charlie recently worked on David Mackenzie's Fuze, which premiered at TIFF 2025. Alexander's credits include Invasion (Apple), His Dark Materials (BBC/HBO), Jonathan Glazer's Under the Skin (Film4/A24), and David Mackenzie's Starred Up (Film4). Charlie's work spans major productions including Wonder Woman (Warner Bros.), The Dark Knight Rises (Warner Bros./Legendary), Furious 7 (Universal), Spectre (Eon/MGM), and Skyfall (Eon/MGM).
24FPS credits include She Said (Universal/Plan B), multiple series of Billions (Showtime), Take My Hand (Bronte Pictures), and Triton (Romulus).
What We Do
We operate either as a production service company for international film and television productions filming in the UK or Europe, or as a UK co-producer.
As a service company, we assist with early planning, feasibility studies, location research, budgeting and scheduling, then take on the physical production — entirely scaleable from whole productions down to specific sequences or additional photography.
Alternatively, we can come on board as a collaborative co-production partner, helping to close finance and bringing practical creative input alongside our physical production expertise.
UK Tax Incentives
24FPS can assess eligibility and manage the application and rebate process for the UK's highly competitive film and TV incentives.
The Audio Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC) provides a 25.5%, while the Independent Film AVEC offers an enhanced 39.75% for qualifying films up to £15m. UK VFX work qualifies for an enhanced 29.25%.
To qualify, productions must meet the BFI UK cultural test and spend at least 10% of total core expenditure in the UK, which can be either filming or post-production, or both. UK expenditure is defined as expenditure on goods and services that are "used or consumed" in the UK, which can include international cast or HODs working in the UK.
We work with the UK's most trusted advisors and auditors to ensure that tax credit applications, British film certification, and the rebate process are smoothly managed.
International Network
Our network extends throughout Europe and beyond. With extensive experience in international location work, we've developed close relationships with production and service companies across the globe. We're adept at navigating international tax credits and rebates, and can advise on which combination of territories will provide the best creative and financial fit for your production.

UK Talent
World-class filmmaking talent thrives in the UK, both on and off screen. From internationally renowned actors to experienced HODs, highly skilled stunt teams, and accomplished below-the-line crew, the UK offers exceptional and versatile talent across all budget levels and genres.
UK Locations
From classic British castles, stately homes and rural villages to dramatic mountains and stunning coastline, as well as modern urban environments - the UK offers an extraordinary range of locations. We specialise in finding locations that can authentically double for North American settings, a skill we've honed across numerous productions.
UK Studios
Recent years have seen major investment in UK studio infrastructure. The country now has over forty stages of 15,000 square feet or larger, ranging from full-gantry sound stages to converted warehouses and state-of-the-art LED volume stages. Many are within easy reach of London, with significant capacity also available in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and across England's regions.
